Key Messages

​​WA’s timber industry is a key driver of the State’s economy and jobs. The industry creates about 6000 jobs, and produces $1.4 billion of timber products every year.
 
The Timber Industry generates nearly 4,000 jobs in WA alone in primary and secondary processing, and another two and a half thousand jobs in flow on and end product industries – all in all, 6,000 jobs.

The timber industry is a key driver of economic activity and jobs in Western Australia.
