The WA Forestry Industry is committed to the sustainable management of native forests in our state. With approximately 2.25 million hectares of native forest in the south-west of Western Australia alone, under the guidance of WA state government policy, the industry is committed to a balance between the conservation and productive use of these forests.
Native forests are replanted and regenerated after harvesting. This helps to ensure a sustainable supply of renewable timber for present and future needs, while contributing to the health and growth of our native forests.
